“…On the other hand all other approximations which have been tested did not improve the quality of the fit, but yielded only slightly different values for 0~ v ~ 0 asd(5d 6s 2) and a6s , therefore giving confidence in the results for these two parameters. Moreover, the value of o~ 7 asd(5d 6s 2) is in good agreement with other data in the 5d-shell [23]. For the electricquadrupole interaction no relativistic approximation yielded realistic results.…”

“…Using these corrections we find a6s ,1~ polnt=6,914MHz" In Table 5 the (r-3>-values obtained from the effective a-parameters are compared with relativistic selfconsistent field calculations which have been performed by Lindgren and Ros6n using the HartreeFock (HF) and the optimized Hartree-Fock-Slater (OHFS) method 25]. The experimental <r-3> -values are in very good agreement with the other results in the 5d-shell [12,26]. The comparison of experimental and relativistic results gives some information on the effects due to configuration interaction: the value for the less sensitive parameter (r-3> o 1 differs by only 770 whereas the influence of configuration interaction on (r-z> 12 and the contact term <r-3> I~ (mainly due to spin polarisation effects) is much larger.…”

“…Because the tantalum and the potassium transitions were induced in neighbouring rf loops, the local field strength for the tantalum resonances was determined by interchanging the positions where the two transitions were induced. If the calibration frequency is held at a constant value the difference of the field strength dH between the two rf [12] c [4] loop positions may be determined from the change dv in the tantalum resonance frequency under the assumption that the field profile is linear and unchanged…”

“…Büttgenbach et al [3,4] and Bürger et al [5] measured the hfs of the five lowest atomic states 5d 3 6s 2 4 F 3/2,5/2,7/2,9/2 and 4 P 1/2 by using the atomic beam magnetic resonance method. Persson et al [6] reported the hfs measurements of the metastable states 5d 3 6s 2 4 P 3/2,5/2 using laser RF spectroscopic technique.…”
