Magnetic coupling between liquid 3He and solid insulators (Review)

Abstract: Theoretical and experimental results are presented on the magnetic coupling between liquid 3He (in the normal phase) and single crystals and fine powders of insulating Van Vleck paramagnets and their diamagnetic analogs.
