“…Particularly, the deposition of the REBCO layer via CSD has clear advantages over other techniques, though: The preparation of the precursor solutions is utterly simple and therefore cheap, and the composition can be easily altered through solution mixing or additions of further soluble salts. With this, a plethora of inclusions for pinning enhancement is accessible: atomic-scale doping [20] on the RE [21][22][23], the Ba [24][25][26], and the Cu [27][28][29] site or secondary phase additions of various compositions (e.g. Y 2 O 3 [30], BaZrO 3 [31,32], BaHfO 3 [33][34][35], BaSnO 3 [36], Ba 2 YTaO 6 [37], Ba 2 YNbO 6 [38]), forms (spherical, plate-like, rectangular, etc) and amount.…”

“…The electromagnetic characteristics of the HTS pellets were measured mainly at 77 K. To investigate the screening ability of the pellets, we applied a spatially uniform magnetic field perpendicularly to the sample's surface and registered the response signal [5]. The hysteresis loops were obtained using a miniature Hall probe placed near the specimen's surface [6], and the average critical current density J c (and its field dependence) were found in the approximation of the modified version of Bean's model.…”
