Magnetic Anomaly and Dielectric Tunability of (Sr,Mn)TiO3Thin Films

Abstract: Polycrystalline Sr 0.98 Mn 0.02 TiO 3 thin films are prepared by sol-gel spin-coating method on Si/SiO 2 /TiO 2 /Pt substrates. Their dielectric permittivity, polarization, and magnetization are investigated as a function of temperature (from 10 to 300 K), electric and magnetic fields. Temperature dependences of the magnetization M ZFC-FH (T), real part of the dielectric permittivity ε (T), and dissipation factor tanδ(T) of Sr 0.98 Mn 0.02 TiO 3 films show anomalies around 41-45 K, implying an interrelation be… Show more

“…Similarly to the dielectric anomaly [52], the magnetic anomaly has been found to depend not only on the frequency, but crucially also on the Mn content, confirming its intrinsic origin [53]. Furthermore, apart from ceramics, both glassy states have also been detected in equivalent thin films [54].…”
