Abstract:The field dependence of magnetization at T = 4.2 K and in magnetic fields of up to 70 kOe, temperature dependences of magnetization (2 K < T < 300 K), heat capacity (2 K < T < 30 K) and magnetic susceptibility (2 K < T < 1000 K) for Mn 1.99 Co 0.96 Al 1.05 and Mn 1.79 Co 1.25 Al 0.96 alloys, closed in composition to the Mn 2 CoAl spin gapless semiconductor, were studied. Alloys studied were demonstrated to be the band ferromagnets. Their high-field (H > 11 kOe) magnetization is described in the Stoner models w… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
