Magnetic and Electromagnetic Wave Absorption Characteristics of BaFe11Ti0.5Zn0.5O19 in X Band

Abstract: Research has been made on BaFe11Ti0.5Zn0.5O19 compound by high energy milling (HEM) with variation of milling t = 2, 8, and 12 hours. This research was conducted to find out the influence of milling time on magnetic and electromagnetic wave absorption properties of BaFe11Ti0.5Zn0.5O19 compound. Materials were characterized by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Permagraph C, Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), and Vector Network Analyzer (VNA). XRD patterns of bulk sample had shown the material forms a single phase BaFe1… Show more

“…BaMg 0.9 Zn 0.9 Zr 1.8 Fe 8.4 O 19 with M s and H c of 37.3 emu g −1 and 94 Oe, respectively. Idayanti et al [358] studied the effect of milling time on magnetic and EM wave absorption properties of M-type hexaferrite. The maximum R L value is 12 h milling time, which is equivalent to −41 851 dB at 11.7 GHz with wave absorption attained to 99.19%.…”

“…[ 357 ] synthesized BaMg x Zn x X 2 x Fe 12‐4 x O 19 by mechanical activation and calcined at 1000 °C for 5 h. The maximum R L of 19.3 dB at 12.3 GHz with 1.7 GHz bandwidth was reported in BaMg 0.9 Zn 0.9 Zr 1.8 Fe 8.4 O 19 with M s and H c of 37.3 emu g −1 and 94 Oe, respectively. Idayanti et al [ 358 ] studied the effect of milling time on magnetic and EM wave absorption properties of M‐type hexaferrite. The maximum R L value is 12 h milling time, which is equivalent to −41 851 dB at 11.7 GHz with wave absorption attained to 99.19%.…”
