Magnetic After-effect in Amorphous Co-Fe-Si-B Wire

Abstract: Structural and magnetic stability of the amorphous (Co 0.94 Fe 0.06 ) 72.5 Si 12.5 B 15 wire has been investigated by the magnetic after-effect spectroscopy. Activation parameters of the relaxation in the as-cast wire are Q * = 1.62 eV and τ 0 = 7x10 −17 s. Annealing suppresses short-time relaxation by annealing-out free volumes, but still some free volume remains in the sample and contributes to the irreversible relaxation. This can be seen during long-time experiments.PACS : 75.60.Lr
