Magnesium-Catalyzed Regioselective Hydrophosphinylation of Alkenes with Diarylphosphine Oxides

Abstract: A magnesium-catalyzed regioselective hydrophosphinylation of alkenes with secondary phosphine oxides (SPOs) via anti-Markovnikov addition to access structurally diverse organophosphorus compounds is described. This transformation features perfect atom economy, good functional group tolerance, and divergent regioselectivity toward vinylarenes and α,β-unsaturated carbonyl derivatives.
