Macrophage metabolism: a wound‐healing perspective

Abstract: Macrophages are a critical component of the innate immune response, and compose the first response to perturbations in tissue homeostasis. Their unique ability to dynamically integrate diverse stimuli underlies their important role in the healing response from first insult to re‐establishment of tissue homeostasis.
