Macromolecular Structure of Linearly Arranged Eukaryotic Chromosomes

Abstract: Eukaryotic chromosomes have not been visualized during the interphase. The fact that chromosomes cannot be seen during the interphase of the cell cycle does not mean that there are no means to make them visible.
