Bez obzira da li se razmatraju metričke vrednosti u proceni stanja određenog hidroekosistema, ili se razmatraju strukturni i funkcionalni atributi, sam postupak procene je najbolje zasnivati na komparaciji nenarušenih (nezagađenih, referentnih) lokaliteta sa konkretno razmatranim lokalitetom (Carter et al 2007). To u ovom slučaju nije bilo moguće jer na području naše zemlje ne postoje definisani referentni lokaliteti za određene tipove reka sa kojima bi se uzorkovani lokaliteti poredili.…”
