Along with inoceramids (Gallemì et al ., ), the type section exhibits microfossil events (Lamolda & Paul, ; Melinte & Lamolda, ; Peryt & Lamolda, ) and a negative 0·3‰ excursion in δ 13 C carb (Lamolda & Paul, , ) that, together, have provided the basis for correlation with sites elsewhere (e.g. Jenkyns et al ., ; Jarvis et al ., ; Gale et al ., ; Takashima et al ., ; Voigt et al ., ; Sprovieri et al ., ; Wendler, ).…”
