Abstract:Background: The World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations for promoting effective management of cervical cancer screening in low- and medium-income countries (LMIC) include human papillomavirus (HPV) testing as primary screening followed by visual inspection with acetic acid (VIA) and, if required, treatment.
