Abstract

In 1958, at the Royal Society of Medicine in London, Scadding presented a paper entitled ' The Lung as an Index of Systemic Disease ' 1 . This has acted as a stimulus to the preparation of the present communication, which includes the experience acquired at the Rothschild-Hadassah-Hcbrcw University Hospital, Jerusalem. It does not include the pulmonary manifestations of the acute epidemic infections.The conditions which have been associated with pulmonary lesions may be considered under the following headings :1.
