Luminescent nano-thermometer based on up-conversion luminescence behavior of transparent Ba2ErF7 nano-glass ceramics

Abstract: Transparent novel Ba 2 ErF 7 nano-glass ceramics was fabricated by melt-quenching technique. X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy analyses show that tetragonal Ba 2 ErF 7 nano-crystals are homogeneously precipitated among the glass matrix. The 2 H 11/2 / 4 S 3/2 and 4 F 9/2(1) / 4 F 9/2(2) levels of Er 3? are proved as thermally coupled energy levels (TCL) by analyzing fluorescence intensity ratios of 523 nm/548 nm and 654 nm/666 nm emissions of Ba 2 ErF 7 glass ceramics. Temperature-dependen… Show more

“…Moreover, at 280 • C, R Q reaches 98%, which is larger than that of fluoride-oxide system materials with a higher phonon energy. 32 This is explained perfectly by Equation ( 4). The temperature-dependent behavior of the nearinfrared fluorescence of Er 3+ -doped FIG was investigated.…”
