“…In this study, it can be said that Pb contribution led to a decrease in the PL intensity. Similar results have been observed by the Xu et al [46] for Co doped ZnO prepared sol-gel technique. Our PL results can be interpreted as follows:…”

“…So the band observed at 144 cm –1 can be attributed to lattice vibration and the band around 184 cm –1 due to deformation mode . The band at 331 cm –1 belongs to the phonon scattering peak of the process, which is the overlap of E 2 (H) and E 2 (L) . It can be seen that the peak intensities of the ZnO sample obviously decrease after the ball-milling treatment, while they have a slight increase after the milled ZnO sample was annealed.…”

“…The enhanced luminescence due to the codoping of Gd 3+ was observed in (Y,Gd)BO 3 :Eu 3+ and Fe 3 O 4 @(Y 1– x Gd x ) 2 O 3 :Eu 3+ and attributed to the energy transfer between Gd 3+ and Eu 3+ . On the other hand, Co- and Ni-doping of ZnO was reported to lead to significant PL quenching, , revealing that in doped Zn-containing magnetic oxides there is no doping of the ZnO phase, but rather, there is codoping of Zn 2+ with Co 2+ (or Ni 2+ ) into Fe 3 O 4 . For PPQ–Zn-Co-3, we also observed a blue shift (∼12 nm) of the emission peak, which is often associated with doping, while no shift was seen for PPQ–Zn-Ni-4.…”
