<title>Stability problems of LiNbO<formula><inf><roman>3</roman></inf></formula> waveguide components for interferometric applications in the visible and near-infrared regions</title>
Abstract:Optical phase drifts of guided waves in LiNbO3 waveguides can be caused by two different physical effects: light-induced refractive index changes (photorefractive effect) and so-called DC drift effects. Both phenomena have been investigated experimentally by a special interferometric technique on simple channel waveguides with very high accuracy. Light-induced refractive index changes were measured at 633 nm wavelength and in the 800 nm region. These index changes in annealed proton exchanged (APE) waveguides … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
