Abstract:Photophysical properties of fullerene (C60 and C70) thin films were investigated by various spectroscopic measurements including absorption, luminescence, luminescence excitation, electric field induced luminescence quenching, and electroabsorption. These results were compared with photoconduction spectra, giving a picture of solid fullerene s excited states characterized by substantial charge transfer (CT) nature, that is, excited states delocalized over neighboring molecules (CT excitons) in the solid lattic… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
