<title>Roentgen image transfer by means of Kumakhov lenses</title>

Abstract

Experimental investigation of Kumakhov lenses for an image transfer by means of X-ray radiation is discussed.The possibility of an image transfer by means of X-ray radiation is of great interest for many problems of medical diagnostics, designing of new Xray microscopes, X-ray lithography etc. Depending on the concrete problem an image can be increased or decreased.In the experiments for a decreased image transfer two semilenses were used. The first one was used to obtain a quasiparallel beam of X-ray radiation and the second one -to obtain a convergent beam from a quasiparallel one. The first semilens had the following parameters: focal length f = 128mm, an inlet diameter Din = 6mm, an outer diameter Dout 8mm, capillaries inlet diameter din = 2OOim, capillaries outlet diameter dout 37O,un, capture angle O.O5rad, an outlet angular dievrgence of the beam 17' , transmission coefficient 23%.The second semilens parameters were: f = 120mm, Din 7.5mm, Dout 4mm, din 17.Lm, dout = 10.un, angular divergence for a straight radiation pass (i.e. from the section with din = 7.5mm to the section with dout = 4mm) was 13', transmission coefficient for this case was 10% and transmission coefficient in an inverse direction (i.e. when a divergent beam was captured) was 7%.
