<title>Postfabrication wavelength trimming of fiber Bragg gratings written in H2-loaded fibers</title>

Abstract: A postfabrication technique for writing fiber Bragg gratings in H2-loaded fiber with precise wavelength control is reported. The grating wavelength is highly stable and less than 0.01 nm shift was observed after storing at room temperature for 2 months. This technique allows 1 nm of wavelength trimming and significantly enhances the grating thermal stability.
