<title>Optimization of 16x2.5 Gbit/s metro CWDM transmission over 65 Km of standard fiber</title>

Abstract: We present a simulation of a 1 6 channels coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM) system operating at 2.5 Gbit/s transmitted over 65 Km ofstandard fiber. The channel space was optimized in order to improve the use of the operation spectrum and to avoid the water peak. The results demonstrate the feasibility of 40 Gbit/s total capacity CWDM system operation using the S, C and L bands with bit error rate (BER) better than iO.
