<title>Multi-imaging adaptive concept for IR and submillimeter space telescopes</title>

Abstract: Nontraditional JR and Sub-millimeter space-borne telescope concept basing on blind-type parabolic multi-ring mirror is proposed and discussed. Preliminary results for optimization of mirror parameters by means of computer simulation are presented.

“…It is possible, however, to design a nonimaging-optics-configured primary mirror, which, employing the array concept and a multi-element approach, will never second to the imaging one, prospectively surpassing this in many parameterssee our [4] multi-ring lens-like operating telescope design. Such a multi-element RAM alternative concept was suggested to use in extremely large space telescopes.…”
