<title>High Power Atomic Iodine Photodissociation Lasers</title>

Abstract: The atomic iodine photodissociation laser has developed into a system capable of producing nanosecond or shorter pulses of near infrared radiation with energies well in excess of a hundred joules.Discussed are the operating characteristics, advantages, and potential problem areas associated with this laser.
