<title>Detection and estimation of stochastic signal parameters by quadrature time-integrating acousto-optic correlator</title>

Abstract: A new time-integrating acousto-optic correlator (TIAOC) was developed. It combine relatively low complexness with exceedingly wide band of signals analyzed. The main feature of the architecture is the use of the light beams interference to provide the quadrature processing channel. Near-optimum stochastic signal detection algorithm using a new TIAOC is proposed. Power losses in comparison with the optimum algorithm are less than 1 dB. The possibility of the delay evaluation and the spectrum estimation is shown. Show more

“…(2) gives a number of limitations for the shape of reference signal narrow class of performing signals and limits the class of signals processed to binary phase-shift keyed signals. For increase the output signal level and implementation of quadrature channels the following conditions should be met: qoH ir/2 + 2irn, qodo =ir/8 + irk/2 (5) where n, k E N U 0, and h(x) = H also assumed.…”

“…In this case the second quadrature processing channel is required to preserve all the information completely. We developed the use of crossing light beams and proposed the two-dimensional quadrature radio frequency TIAOC [4]- [6] that combines relative design simplicity with extremely wide frequency band. This paper presents the dynamic range analysis of the two-dimensional TIAOC in both active and passive operating modes.…”
