LncRNA TDRG1 Promotes Proliferation, Invasion and Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transformation of Osteosarcoma Through PI3K/AKT Signal Pathway

Abstract: Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effect of long non-coding TDRG1 on proliferation and migration of osteosarcoma cells through PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. Materials and Methods: Altogether 87 cases of osteosarcoma tissues and adjacent tissues were collected, and osteosarcoma cells and osteoblasts were purchased. The expression of LncRNA TDRG1 in tissues and cells was detected by RT-PCR. Si-NC, si-TDRG1, and Sh-TDRG1 were transfected into osteosarcoma cells. L740Y-P (activator of PI3K/AKT pathway) … Show more

“…FOXC1 is a transcription factor that induces EMT ( Han et al, 2017 ; Huang et al, 2017 ; Ou-Yang et al, 2015 ; Zhu et al, 2017 ). Since the nuclear filamins inhibit FOXC1 activity ( Berry et al, 2005 ; Zheng et al, 2009 ; Zhou et al, 2010 ), we hypothesized that the reduced nuclear localization of FLNB promotes EMT by releasing FOXC1 from FLNB.…”

“…The hyper-activation of PI3K/AKT signaling can significantly accelerate cancer cell proliferation, migration and EMT and inhibit cell apoptosis in majority kinds of cancers, including cervical cancer. 28,29 A work by Wang et al 16 in testicular seminoma using bioinformatics analysis demonstrated that TOP2A expression was associated with the…”

“…Fortunately, radical hysterectomy has gained increasing popularity in the last twenty years and enjoyed broad acceptance across Europe and the Americas [ 11 ]. Although there is great progress in diagnostic and therapeutic strategies, the survival rate for CC patients remains poor [ 12 ]. Thus, this study aims to identify novel biomarkers and develop noninvasive therapies for the diagnosis and prognosis of CC.…”
