“…At least six valid species, including P. braueri , P. impresus, P. leucomystax , P. macrotis , P. megacephalus and P. mutus have been distinguished in the P. leucomystax complex based on their morphology, advertisement calls and molecular data (Matsui, Seto & Utsunomiya, 1986; Brown et al, 2010; Kuraishi et al, 2011; Kuraishi et al, 2013; Pan et al, 2013). Five species of genus Polypedates , P. colletti, P. leucomystax , P. macrotis , P. megacephalus and P. mutus , can be found in Thailand (Taylor, 1962; Heyer, 1971; Frost, 2013; Kuraishi et al, 2013; Pan et al, 2013; Rujirawan, Stuart & Aowphol, 2013). Brown et al (2010) indicated that much of the genetic divergence of the P. leucomystax complex was discovered in mainland rather than insular populations distributed throughout thousands of islands of the Malay Archipelago, presumably resulting from range expansion mediated by transportation of agricultural products.…”
