“…Data for vLDL values as a result of treatments of supplementation of olive pomace in rats nutrition, increased from 19.2mg/ dl of normal nutrition to 19.4, 19.6, 19.69 and 19.72mg/dl, at treatments 2.5, 5, 7.5 and 10% of olive pomace in rats nutrition when supplemented in prepared biscuit, respectively. Obtained data are in agreement with those by Kim et al (2014) who found an effect of Olea europea-ethyl acetate (Oleaceae) fruit pomace (Oleaceae) extract on plasma lipid levels (TC, TG, HDL and LDL), of rats after administering a dose of 100mg/kg, to be 5. 45, 0.65, 8.74 and 0.59(mM), respectively. While, plasma lipid levels of normal control were1.73, 0.70, 0.40 and 0.91(mM), respectively.…”

“…The oleuropein showed a better docking score from the known inhibitor (TEI-6720) of XO protein, and chlorogenic acid showed a redocking score near to the known anti-cholesterol drug Atorvastatin. Other studies, which showed the anti-hypercholesterolemic effect of chlorogenic acid [76][77][78], support the present research findings. In conclusion, this study demonstrated the potential of two natural products, i.e., Coffea arabica L. oil and Olea europaea L. oil, for treating malathion poisoning as they are antioxidants in nature.…”

“…Olives ( Olea europaea L.) are considered a representative element in Mediterranean diets, either as such or processed into olive oil; a significant literature documents their beneficial effects on human health [ 39 ]. Kim et al [ 40 ] fed male Sprague-Dawley rats a control diet (10% fat), an HFD (5.5% oil, 1% cholic acid and 2% cholesterol) and an HFD and olive fruit pulp ethyl acetate extract (100 or 300 mg/kg BW, by oral gavage) for 28 days. Treatments suppressed an increase in serum TC and LDL, but without returning their values to control levels.…”
