Abstract: Centaurea inexpugnabilis, a new species from section aCroCentron for the iberian flora.-A new species for the genus Centaurea L. (sect. Acrocentron, Asteraceae) is described: C. inexpugnabilis, sp. nov. This plant has been found in the Mallos de Riglos (Riglos, Huesca, Spain), and its distribution is currently limited to the northeastern of the Iberian Peninsula.
