<b>ONTOGENY OF POLYPEPTIDE YY (PYY) CELLS IN THE GUT OF CHICKEN: AN IMMUNOCYTOCHEMICAL </b><b>STUDY </b>

Abstract: The occurrence of polypeptide YY (PYY) immunoreactive cells was investigated in various parts of the alimentary tract of chick embryos from 60 h to 18 days of incubation and of chicken from l to 4 weeks old. Very few PYY-immunoreactive cells were first seen in the duodenal mucosa of l8 day-old chick embryo.
