“…The MgAl2O4 shows the fine particles with spherical structure, and some particles exhibited the worm-like shapes Fig. 4(a-b) [38]. The two different morphologies of the MgAl2O4 offers a comprehensive and uniform distribution of Ni over the surface depicted in Fig.…”

“…A Philips X'PERT MPD X-ray diffractometer with CuKα radiation (λCuK α1 = 0.154 nm, incident angle =0.03°) was used to characterize the coated sample. [33][34][35] The corrosion properties of the coated samples were studied by the immersion test (open circle potential, OCP), electrochemical impedance spectrometry (EIS), and potentiodynamic polarization (PDP). The immersion test was carried out by immersing the coated samples in the corrosive solution and registering the OCP values for 1 h. Also, PDP and EIS tests were carried out using the EG&G potentiostat-galvanostat set-up (the 273A model).…”

“…The microstructure of the coatings cross‐section was investigated by a field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM, Mira 3‐XMU) and energy dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy (EDS). A Philips X'PERT MPD X‐ray diffractometer with CuK α radiation ( λ CuK α1 = 0.154 nm, incident angle =0.03°) was used to characterize the coated sample 33‐35 . “…As one of well-known spinels (typically refers to AB 2 O 4 , A 2+ , B 3+ or A 4+ , B 2+ ), magnesium aluminate (MgAl 2 O 4 ) has been mainly developed and applied in industrial and military applications, including high-pressure arc lamps, transparent armor, optical heat exchangers, and missile domes [1] Among them, appropriate transparent ceramic based materials were employed due to its unique properties, like high thermal stability with high melting point of 2135˚C [6], unique optical properties and mechanical strength at high temperature. With increasing utilizations of catalyst and support, MgAl 2 O 4 spinel has been synthesized with high purity, small particle size with uniform pore size distribution and high surface area.…”
