Low-Loss Connection of Hybrid Fibre Optic Systems with Low Sensitivity to Wavelength

Abstract: This paper proposes a method for adjusting light waves propagating in systems composed of photonic fibers, light sources and detection elements. The paper presents the properties of these connections in terms of the loss of signal transmission. Different fiber core areas were analyzed, and measurements of the mode-field diameters (MFDs) of selected fiber structures are presented. The study analyzed two types of LMA (Large Mode Area) fiber structures, and the mode-field diameters of these structures were measur… Show more

“… carried out light scattering measurements with calibrations to investigate a high‐speed emulsifying flow in a mini channel. Klimek and Skorupski dealt with measurements of properties of fibers with cores. Fibers were also considered by Swirniak and Glomb who dealt with a method of low‐coherent light scattering with small angle light detection for glass fibre characterization, in which diffraction was essentially the only scattering process involved.…”

“…Using immittance enables to significantly improve the energy efficiency and noise immunity of the logic element. Immittance logic elements use the resistive, inductive or capacitive immittance and their combinations as the information parameter [10][11][12][13] .…”

“…A new direction in the construction of radio-frequency logic elements is the use of the principle of fuzzy immitance, when the logic level is determined not by the quantitative value of immitance, but by its nature, such as "0" -capacitive, "1" -inductive. Such immitance logic elements can be implemented both with active 6,7 and only on passive [8][9][10][11] electronic elements. In the latter case, the noise immunity and energy efficiency of the logic element are greatly increased, as there are only energy losses at the signal frequency.…”
