“…They used the Kion system which permits a LFGF of 200 ml·min −1 which with modern monitoring systems is acceptable for infants and children up to a body weight of around 40 kg. The mean body weight in their material was 7.6 kg, which as an example would imply an estimated oxygen consumption of 45 ml·min −1 using the modified Brody's formula (2).
