Low dose nivolumab in metastatic mucosal melanoma: a case report

Abstract: We present the case of a 77-year-old man with metastatic mucosal melanoma, unable to afford standard doses of immunotherapy, who was treated with nivolumab at a lower dose of 0.5 mg/kg every 2 weeks. Drug activity was demonstrated through both objective tumor response and an immune-related adverse event. This suggests that a lower dose of nivolumab could be a viable alternative for patients with advanced mucosal melanoma at a high risk of treatment-related financial toxicity.
