“…Another report, using vanillin as the antimicrobial agent rather than the cross-linker for chitosan, reported a tensile strength value of 31 MPa with a drying temperature of 40 °C . Conventional plastics used in food packaging such as polycaprolactone (PCL) and low-density polyethylene (LDPE) have tensile strength values in the region of 10–16 MPa, while polyethylene (PE) has a value of around 30 MPa. A comparison of these values with our data suggests that our CVGP material has a superior tensile strength to that of some conventional plastics on the market. The EAB values reported are similar to those reported by Sangsuwan et al (4.05–4.4%). , These values, and hence the flexibility, may be improved by reducing the cross-linker content or altering the plasticizer content.…”

“…Table 5 describes various physical parameters of the developed bioactive film. The thickness, tensile strength, and elongation of the developed packaging material resemble the low‐density polyethylene (LDPE) films (Szlachetka et al, 2021).…”

“…The horizontal coordinate is parallel to the intersection edge of the plane tangent to the surface and the vertical coordinate is perpendicular to this plane. Based on the determined profiles, using equipment like in References 24 and 41, the linear roughness parameters of the samples were determined, which are summarized in Table 5.…”
