Abstract: BackgroundHeart failure with reduced (HFrEF) or preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) is characterized by low-grade chronic inflammation. Circulating neutrophils regroup two subtypes termed high- and low-density neutrophils (HDNs and LDNs).
