Low-Cost and Flexible Anti-Reflection Films Constructed From Nano Multi-Layers of TiO2 and SiO2 for Perovskite Solar Cells

Abstract: We theoretically investigate the anti-reflection (AR) films based on nano multi-layers (NML) of TiO 2 and SiO 2. This kind of NML dielectric structures have the advantages of low-cost and flexible. Six kinds of transparent conductive substrate (TCS) have been studied here, which are ITO (indium tin oxide) glass, FTO (fluorine-doped tin oxide) glass, ITO PEN (polyethylene naphthalate), FTO PEN, ITO PET (polyethylene terephthalate), and FTO PET, respectively. The AR effect is about 2.3825% for FTO glass substrat… Show more

“…In this section, the theory of thin film optics (TFO) [21] is applied to design the splitter film, which can be used to design various functions of films. Based on FTO, we have studied quantum tunneling transparent conductive films [22] and anti-reflection nano multi-layers [23,24].…”

“…Generally, OEDs structure is based on TCSs, such as FTO (fluorine-doped tin oxide) glass, ITO (indium tin oxide) glass, FTO PEN (polyethylene naphthalate) plastic, ITO PEN, FTO PET (polyethylene terephthalate), ITO PET, and so on [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]25]. TCS is constructed of substrate and transparent conductive film.…”

“…In Ref. [25], the AR effect of the 2-nd AR is much smaller than the 1-st AR. In view of the practical fabrication of OEDs only affecting the 2-nd AR, we will focus on the need for the NML AR film of MgF2 and Ta2O5 at the interface between substrate and air.…”

“…Therefore, the nanostructure-based anti-reflection (AR) technique emerged and has been playing an essential role ever since [ 11 , 12 ]. To date, although various nanostructured optoelectronic components and devices like solar cells [ 13 , 14 , 15 , 16 ], light-emitting diodes [ 17 , 18 , 19 , 20 ], and photodetectors [ 21 , 22 ] have been studied, the requirement of large area fabrication with nanometer-scale feature dimension FD (FD < λ /n, where λ is the light wavelength and n is the refractive index of the material under consideration) presents a bottle neck in its study and corresponding applications [ 17 , 23 , 24 , 25 ].…”
