A novel compact meander slot microstrip antenna is proposed lo achieve miniaturization of antenna and suppression of harmonics. To oblain these characleristici, meander typed slot radiator and opencnded T~rhaped conductor line located m mcandcr slot arc uscd. The size of antenna 15 6.7x4.15 mm at center frequency 5.3 GHz, and the measured real parts of the input impedance at the second and lhird harmonic frequencies *re nearly zero. From measursd radiation pallem of E-plane. both the second and third harmonic suppression are approxtmalely less than -30 dB.
