“…To address this, the development of new materials with a high molar extinction coefficient for colorants is crucial [ 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 ]. Furthermore, the study of materials with high thermal and chemical properties for colorants is urgently needed to reliably prepare and use components in small-sized pixels [ 9 , 10 , 11 , 12 ]. This becomes important for creating stable components in small-sized pixels.…”

“…However, this method is limited by the low solubility of pigments, which makes producing smaller particles difficult and leads to light scattering by aggregated particles [ 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 ]. To resolve these problems, dye-based color filters have been studied [ 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 ]. Because dyes are soluble in solvents, light scattering by particles is not observed, and light transmittance is therefore improved.…”

“…Because dyes are soluble in solvents, light scattering by particles is not observed, and light transmittance is therefore improved. In addition, improved thermal and solvent stability in industrial solvents such as propylene glycol monomethyl ether acetate (PGMEA) must be realized for these dyes to be used in dye-based color filters [ 2 , 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 ]. If dyes are not stable in common industrial solvents such as PGMEA, then their application in color filters will be difficult [ 9 , 10 , 11 ].…”

“…Phthalocyanines (Pcs) are a kind of macrocyclic compound with strong visible and NIR absorption, high chemical and thermal stability, and diverse architectural flexibility and coordination properties. , We have long been interested in the preparation of Pc derivatives for various applications. Generally, Pcs have strong absorption in the regions of 600–800 nm (Q-band) and 250–400 nm (sort band) simultaneously. When combined with the MLCT band (λ max at 580 nm), it would cover wide ranges of UV–visible regions, with an extension of the absorption in NIR regions. Intrigued by the idea, as an effort to make use of optical properties of the Pc skeleton, we have newly designed the bisterpyridine attached with a Pc spacer, which could form linear MEPEs by complexing with transition metal ions.…”
