Due to the input of urban run-off into the sewer lines, the presence of pesticides in urban wastewaters should not be underestimated: some studies have found that urban biocides loads can be found in water in the same range as the most widely-used agricultural pesticides [9][10][11]. Therefore, evaluation of WWTPs performance regarding elimination of micropollutants such as pharmaceutical products and pesticides is necessary to assess their potential impact in the environment.…”
