En el presente trabajo nos enfocamos en los rasgos prosódicos del tramo prenuclear
en tres dialectos del español: el castellano septentrional, el castellano meridional y
el porteño. Analizamos concretamente la posición y la prominencia prosódica del primer
pico de 100 enunciados declarativos espontáneos de cada variedad, para comprobar (1) si
en cada uno de los dialectos es característica la estructura del ‘puente colgante’
descrita para la melodía declarativa (Bolinger, 1961), es decir, la melodía sube desde
el inicio del enunciado hasta un primer pico y (2) para ver si los primeros picos
melódicos se acompañan de otro rasgo prosódico saliente. Para tal investigación nos
valemos del protocolo de análisis trifásico de Cantero (2019), en el que los valores de
tono, intensidad y duración se estandardizan para librarnos de las características
interindividuales de los informantes. Según los resultados, en el habla espontánea es
menos típica la estructura del ‘puente colgante’, y el primer pico raras veces coincide
con la primera sílaba tónica del enunciado. El bonaerense es la variedad que se
caracteriza por los mayores saltos melódicos hacia el primer pico, mientras que la mayor
duración se le asocia en el dialecto meridional del español europeo.
