In Spain reforms to university educational policy have been made in order to adapt to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). Therefore, the objective of this study was to find out the level of satisfaction of Arts and Humanities university teaching staff towards the implementation of the EHEA. It is a population-based, descriptive study using a cross-sectional survey with a probability sample. The sample consisted of 1605 Spanish teachers of Arts and Humanities from public universities (with an average age of 48 years, of which 52 % were women and 48 % men). They were applied an ad hoc survey (α = 0.82) consisting of questions (grouped into eight sections) about the degree of satisfaction towards different aspects of the EHEA. In the results can be observed that teachers are not completely satisfied with the way in which educational institutions have adapted university education to the EHEA and they have identified certain needs that limit the quality of Arts and Humanities teaching. In conclusion, the most of teachers thought that the implementation of the EHEA could be improved, although a small percentage believed that it had not been implemented correctly. RESUMENEn España se han hecho reformas en la política educativa universitaria con el objetivo de adaptarse al Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior (EEES). Por ello, la finalidad del estudio fue conocer la satisfacción del profesorado universitario de Artes y Humanidades hacia la implantación del EEES. Es un estudio descriptivo de poblaciones mediante encuesta con muestreo probabilístico, tipo transversal. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 1605 profesores españoles de Artes y Humanidades de universidades públicas (con una edad media de 48 años, de los cuales 52 % eran mujeres y 48 % hombres). Se les aplicó una encuesta elaborada ad hoc (α = 0.82) formada por preguntas (agrupadas en ocho secciones) sobre el grado de satisfacción hacia diferentes aspectos del EEES. En este artículo se presenta el análisis de los perfiles de egreso declarados por los programas de Doctorado en Educación dictados en territorio chileno. Este proceso fue realizado en función de un Perfil de Egreso Estándar, donde se explicitan las competencias que ha de adquirir un futuro doctor tras su formación. Este perfil recoge las competencias que se demandan en el contexto globalizado actual, considerando la documentación nacional, internacional y la opinión de los doctorandos. De acuerdo a ello, se propone analizar la coherencia de cada uno de los perfiles de egreso declarados con respecto al perfil de egreso estándar. El método utilizado es de carácter cuantitativo descriptivo, con un diseño de tipo transversal, utilizándose técnicas descriptivas y de asociación. Como resultados se presenta la cuantificación de las competencias disciplinares, metodológicas, instrumentales y genéricas declaradas en los perfiles de egreso de los programas de Doctorado en Educación dictados en Chile, con el fin de contribuir a la evaluación de estos en el contexto nacional. A nivel internacional, se presenta una metodología replicable para el análisis de perfiles de egreso de programas de doctorado.

The aim of this study is to characterise the scientific production in higher arts education, to identify the universities with the highest production, the most researched topics, the directors of the theses, as well as the gender distribution of authors and directors. The production of doctoral theses in the period 1987-2021 was analysed from the TESEO database, identifying 387 doctoral theses, their distribution by university, number of directors and co-directors, and gender distribution of authors and directors. In addition, the Bradford areas of production by university were identified. The University Complutense of Madrid is the institution with the highest production of theses in higher arts education, being in general larger universities the ones with the highest production. Theses predominantly centered on music and performing arts, with less attention to plastic and visual arts. Women are more present than men as authors and directors. The importance of higher arts education as a field of research in Spain is highlighted and the need to promote thematic diversity and equal gender participation in scientific production is evident. The observed decrease in production since 2015 suggests the need to continue fostering research in higher arts education and to support researchers in this area.
