Loop-induced Higgs boson pair production ate+ecolliders

Abstract: We analyse the loop induced production of Higgs boson pairs at future high-energy e + e − colliders, both in the Standard Model and in its minimal supersymmetric extension. The cross sections for Standard Model Higgs pair production through W/Z boson loops, e + e − → H 0 H 0 , are rather small but the process could be visible for high enough luminosities, especially if longitudinal polarization is made available. In the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model, the corresponding processes of CP-even or CP-odd Hig… Show more

“…Two of these processes have been discussed in the context of the SM Higgs boson and that one can generalize to the MSSM: the associated production with a photon, e + e − → γ + h/H/A [229,498], and the pair production of Higgs bosons, e + e − → hh/HH/Hh/AA [497]. In the case of the pseudoscalar Higgs particle, which has no tree-level couplings to vector bosons, the associated production with a Z boson, e + e − → AZ [499], and the associated production with a neutrino pair in W W fusion, e + e − → ννA [485,486], can be generated radiatively.…”

“…There also higher-order production processes for the neutral Higgs bosons, some of which are important when it comes to the study their fundamental properties: the ZZ fusion mechanism, the associated production with heavy fermions [492][493][494], the double Higgsstrahlung [144,495,496] as well as some other subleading mechanisms [229,485,486,[497][498][499]; they will be discussed in §4.2. The higher-order processes for charged Higgs production [492,[500][501][502][503][504][505][506] will be presented in §4.3.4.…”

“…bremsstrahlung process e + e − → (Z * ) → Z + h, H associated production process e + e − → (Z * ) → A + h, H (b) W W fusion process e + e − →ν e ν e W * W * →ν e ν e + h, H ZZ fusion process e + e − → e + e − Z * Z * → e + e − + h, H (c) radiation off top quarks e + e − → (γ * , Z * ) → tt + h, H, A radiation off bottom quarks e + e − → (γ * , Z * ) → bb + h, H, A Again, the associated production of the pseudoscalar A and Z bosons, the single production of the A boson in the fusion processes as well as the pair production of two CP-even or two CP-odd Higgs particles can only occur at higher orders [57] because of CP invariance. The production cross sections are shown in Figs.…”
