Longitudinal causal relationship between depression and self‐esteem in Korean older adults

Abstract: This study aimed to examine the longitudinal causal relationship between depression and self‐esteem (SE) in older Koreans and analyze gender differences in this correlation. Participants were 4742 older adults aged ≥65 years in baseline 2018 from the Korea Welfare Panel Study. Depression and SE were measured every year from 2018 to 2021.
