“…These surgical procedures basically donate some viable melanocytes to the affected area of depigmentation. These viable melanocytes are then stimulated by different means like PUVA or PUVAsol therapy, [5][6][7] narrowband UVB (NBUVB), [8][9][10] topical steroids, [11] and even excimer laser treatment [12] to cause melanin production and thereby causing a repigmentation of the recipient or treated area.…”

“…Although excimer laser is more efficient in inducing T-cell apoptosis than excimer light (8) , Casacci et al 2007 clinical study show a similar efficacy between the two light sources in the treatment of vitiligo (6) .…”

“…has been shown to be more effective than conventional NB-UVB (6) With the recent advent of various antioxidants for the treatment of dermatological conditions, we hypothesized that the combined action of the excimer light plus topical antioxidant hydrogel could be synergistic in the treatment of vitiligo, thereby increasing the quality of regimentation. 3 In this study we aim to compare the efficacy of combined topical antioxidant (2), lower limbs (2), elbows (2), knees (6), Wrist (2), Ankle (3), and Dorsum of fingers (3).…”
