Tiga Kabupaten/Kota di Pulau Lombok menggelar Pilkada 2020 di tengah penyebaran virus Covid-19. Keluar sebagai pemenang di Kabupaten Lombok Utara adalah H. Djohan Sjamsu, SH - Danny Karter Febrianto R, M.Eng, di Kabupaten Lombok Tengah adalah H. Lalu Fathul Bahri, S.IP - Dr. H. M. Nursiah, M.Si, serta di Kota Mataram oleh H. Mohan Roliskana, S.Sos., M.H - TGH. Mujiburrahman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana strategi mereka untuk memenangkan Pilkada 2020 saat pandemi Covid-19 di daerahnya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Proses pencarian data melalui wawancara, dokumentasi dan materi audio visual-digital. Ada tiga informan penelitian ini yaitu Didi Sumardi (Ketua Tim Sukses Pemenang Pilkada Kota Mataram), Raden Nuna Abriadi (Ketua Tim Sukses Pemenang Pilkada Lombok Utara), dan Ahsan Masad (Koordinator Tim Relawan Pemenang Pilkada Lombok Tengah). Proses analisa data melalui seleksi data yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandidat pemenang Pilkada di tiga daerah tersebut memadukan kampanye tatap muka dan kampanye virtual selama masa kampanye Covid-19 meskipun model tatap muka masih lebih dominan. Selain itu, mereka juga berhasil mengadaptasi kondisi pandemi dalam berkampanye. Alat pengendali pandemi seperti masker dan hand sanitizer didesain secara khusus yang memuat gambar-gambar kandidat dan dibagikan kepada masyarakat luas.

This study aims to describe the banality of discourse through the deconstruction of discourse on the discourse of political actors through viral political communications in online media. Through discourse deconstruction, an overview of the discourse meaning is obtained, and the discourse intent under study is revealed. This study uses a constructivist paradigm. The research uses linguistic and structural methods, objectives hermeneutic, and social semiotics. The results of the study show that there is power-oriented vulgarity with vulgar language, low political morality, political egoism, and political justification. This research shows that symbolic violence in political communication.

This manuscript aims to examine the political literature on the pandemic in Indonesia, especially regarding the relationship between politics and the COVID-19 pandemic without leaving the exploration of the views of scholars in the world who address the discussion of this relationship. This study produces several discourses, including, first, countries in the world implement policies depending on the dynamics that exist in that country. The majority implement a lockdown policy or cut off transmission between regions. Indonesia has a somewhat looser policy than other countries, namely large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) while still paying attention to community economic activities. Second, in many cases, electoral trust depends on the successful handling of the pandemic by the ruling regime or even the steps in handling the pandemic by contesting candidates. Third, the election of regional heads simultaneously with the crisis in Indonesia is considered counterfactual. However, the fact is that voter participation has increased from the three previous regional elections. The true form of Indonesian political culture is implied by the actions of the people who respect elections and prioritize health protocols. Fourth, the recommendation of the scholars is the application of political digitization in voting which requires a comprehensive study, especially regarding the readiness of Indonesian technology.
