Supply chain strategy is the determinant of supply chain management (SCM) and product flow efficiency in the market. Lean supply chain strategy (LSCS), which is based on lean practices in production and supply chain, is a strategy that aims to prevent waste and increase efficiency. Although some studies in the literature examine the relationship of many elements of supply chain management with supply chain performance (SCP), and others examine the correlation of many lean manufacturing elements with performance, studies examining the LSCS-SCP relationship is limited. In addition, the number of studies examining the relationship of LSCS with supply chain practices and logistics integration (LI), as well as the number of studies examining LSCS, supply chain practices, LI, and SCP is much more limited.The research aims to examine the effect of LSCS on the supply chain practices which consists of customer relations (CR) and strategic supplier relations (SSR) and the LI as well as, based on these variables, the effect of LSCS on SCP. Data were obtained from 294 companies in the manufacturing sector through questionnaires. A structural equation model, including LSCS, supply chain practices, LI, and SCP, was tested for the first time. In conclusion, the mediating effects of CR, SSR and LI was emphasized to be important in the impact of LSCS on SCP.

An effective logistics practices shorten procurement time; minimize stock maintenance costs and shipment cost and time, offer secured and reliable services (Onay & Kara, 2009;Aziz, Hillegersberg, & Kumar, 2010). Despite the increasing popularity of research in supply chain management significant number of research focused on forward supply chain management by neglecting one of the most important part of supply chain that is reverse supply chain management, which complete supply chain management as closed loop. Large numbers of prior research consider only one variable at a time to see performance of forward or reverse supply chain on organizational performance. However, supply chain performance is the function of different combination of variables. Therefore, this paper review the effects of transportation, inventory management, facility location and information sharing in closed loop supply chain practices on organization performance.

The global competition oriented-enterprises, sea, land and rail route enterprises of the nations, strategic agricultural and industrial production centers, energy production and distribution enterprises as well as the strategic public organizations such as armed forces and law enforcement agencies will tend toward advanced professionalized outsourcing applications. The production cost competition will be replaced by the supply-chain cost competition. As it is, it is within the claim that the new generation suppliers turn the logistic sector of the operational ability and expertise needed labor force into an out-and-out area of employment. On the other hand, the organizations based on the information and communication network in America and in Far Asia, day by day tend toward using performance-based logistics and 3 rd party logistic applications. In logistics, the affordability of the augmentation of human sources and supplier demand with skilled labor make it already necessary to deal the supply-chain and logistics management in a strategic dimension. In this study, a set of determination and proposals about the supply-chain in the strategic organizations and logistics management activity requirements are presented.
