Localization vs holography in $4d$ $\mathcal{N}=2$ quiver theories

M. Billo,
M. Frau,
A. Lerda
et al.

Abstract: We study 4-dimensional N = 2 superconformal quiver gauge theories obtained with an orbifold projection from N = 4 SYM, and compute the 2-and 3-point correlation functions among chiral/anti-chiral single-trace scalar operators and the corresponding structure constants. Exploiting localization, we map the computation to an interacting matrix model and obtain expressions for the correlators and the structure constants that are valid for any value of the 't Hooft coupling in the planar limit of the theory. At stro… Show more

“…The Lagrangian theories discussed in Section 2 are natural candidates for such an analysis. Work along these lines has recently appeared in [29,30] for a class of quiver gauge theories and we hope that our techniques will find an application and can be adapted to the study of these models.…”

“…More specifically, it was argued in [5,6] that supersymmetric localization reduces the evaluation of closely related n-point functions on S 4 to matrix model computations; then, a Gram-Schmidt orthogonalization procedure applied to these S 4 correlators yields the correlators on R 4 [7][8][9][10][11][12]. Other approaches use the 4d analog [1] of the tt ˚equations [13][14][15][16], the large R-charge expansion [17][18][19][20][21][22][23] or holography [24,25].…”

“…This is the most symmetric configuration and possesses a known holographic dual given by Type II B string theory on a space-time of the type AdS 5 ×S 5 /Z 2 [58,59]. Over the last few years, many BPS-observables in the large-N limit of this superconformal theory have been examined, both at weak and strong-coupling, exploting supersymmetric localization techniques, such as the free energy and the VEV of one or more circular Wilson loops [60][61][62][63][64][65][66][67] and the 2-and 3point functions of chiral/anti-chiral primary operators [13,16,18,19,[22][23][24]26].…”

“…In this quiver, however, we can have two different kinds of deformations involving the chiral primary operators. Indeed we can introduce untwisted, O + p , and twisted, O − p , CPOs under the Z 2 action that exchanges the two gauge groups [19,23]…”
