Localization of U(1) gauge vector field on flat branes with five-dimension (asymptotic) AdS5 spacetime

Abstract: In order to localize U(1) gauge vector field on Randall-Sundrum-like braneworld model with infinite extra dimension, we propose a new kind of non-minimal coupling between the U(1) gauge field and the gravity. We propose three kinds of coupling methods and they all support the localization of zero mode. In addition, one of them can support the localization of massive modes. Moreover, the massive tachyonic modes can be excluded. And our method can be used not only in the thin braneword models but also in the thi… Show more

“…In this paper, we will discuss the KK modes of U (1) gauge vector field in a brane model with codimension two. It is known that the localization of the vector field is difficult in five-dimensional brane world model, and so there are many literatures in order to find localization mechanism [34][35][36][37][38][39][40][41]. In this paper, would like to think about another question for the KK modes of a vector field, i.e., how to keep the invariance of the brane effective action.…”

“…Checking for this kind of stability is a highly non-trivial task, strongly dependent on the field content of the model. Another important aspect is the localization of the Standard Model matter (gauge, scalar and fermion fields) onto the brane [29][30][31][32][33][34][35][36]. So far, different scenarios of thick branes have been studied in the literature, revealing that the localization mechanism of matter fields directly depends on the warp factor into the 5D metric [37].…”
