“…As more Emirati women enroll in higher education and become leaders in their respective areas, the 'gender' harness that tethers them to men will gradually loosen. Schvaneveldt et al (2005) study of mothers and daughters concluded that the Emirati women of the present generation are "core change agents for social revolution in this rich nation of desert history, oil wells, and traditional family life" (p. 90) while the entrepreneurial women in Marmenout and Lirio (2014) and Tlaiss (2015) studies worked towards "fulfilling their personal needs by negotiating the discriminatory cultural values of their societies, and positioning their entrepreneurship careers on the premise and promise that would allow them to meet their socially ascribed roles better" (p. 576).
