Abstract:<p>Cube-like
double four-ring (<i>d4r</i>) cages are
among the most frequent building units of zeolites and zeotypes. In materials
synthesised in fluoride-containing media, the fluoride anions are preferentially
incorporated in these cages. In order to study the impact of framework
composition and organic structure-directing agents (OSDAs) on the possible occurrence
of local distortions of fluoride-containing <i>d4r</i>
cages, density functional theory (DFT) calculations and DFT-b… Show more
“…This is an interesting result because D4R-containing zeolites or any extra-large pore zeolite with such a high Si content are seldom prepared without any hetero-element (such as Ge) or fluorides. 43 Fig. 8 H-K micropore size distributions of samples after reconstruction with different Si:Ge compositions, with and without NH 4 F.…”

The Assembly-Disassembly-Organisation-Reassembly (ADOR) process has led to the discovery of numerous zeolite structures, albeit limited to materials with decreased pore size in relation to the parent germanosilicate zeolite. This limitation...

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
